That’s
my Son-y
Prokick makes ground breaking leap – Sony Play station 2 just
confirmed today they will use Billy Murray’s Kickboxing team
to demonstrate at London Games Week, which runs from 25 –
31 August in Earls Court. Murray has been locked in negotiations
with Sony for the past two months. Sony first approach to Murray
was through a marketing company and only when Sony was sure that
Murray was the genuine article that when the computer giant took
over negotiation directly with the former world beater.
A deal has now been struck, Prokick will supply five kickboxers
including the king of Irish Kickboxing for four days of demonstrations
at the massive consumer event when Sony comes back this year bigger
and better with double the floor space, more content and live entertainment
by way of the Prokick team as one of the main attractions for Earls
court. Murray is now compiling the team and preparing the choreography
he also hopes to seal the deal for a further six similar events
scheduled across Europe later this year and for the early part of
2004.
Bye Hiro hope to see you soon
Hiro Mochizuki a 27 year old Japanese student is preparing to say
goodbye to his new friends and colleagues at the Prokick Gym in
Belfast. He has been studying English at Queens University for over
a year and started kickboxing at the ProKick gym’s headquarters
in November 2002. He first became interested after reading about
the successful club on the Prokick web site and after recognizing
Murray on the street one day he stopped him and asked if he could
become a member.
Since
then Hiro hasn’t looked back he has continued to work hard
at kickboxing and even took part in a demonstration at the Prokick’s
10th anniversary dinner bash in the Hilton hotel in February. Before
coming to Ireland Hiro’s hobbies were swimming, judo and boxing,
but he has fallen in love with the Martial Art sport during his
time here. Prokick would like to wish Hiro all the very best in
the future as he pursues his career as English teacher in Kumomoto.

Noade Portugal
again
Gary Noade was to be in Thai-Boxing action in July in Portugal.
ForKicks released the show ran into difficulties and was cancelled
due poor flight availability during the peak season. An offer has
come in this week for Noade to mix it up with Dario Teixeira, the
same man Noade knocked out in the second round for the Low-Kick
world title at the beginning of June and according to Gary it will
be the same result this time as well. If Noade is successful, he
may want to dominate the Thai-Boxing discipline as well and if he
does, he will hold all three world title’s as an amateur.
However, first and foremost on his mind is to get ready for the
King of the Welterweights on September 19th at the Ulster hall.
