Belfast's
Tony Millar made it five wins from five when he beat Scotland's Gordon
Law on Sunday. The sixteen year old rising star didn't get the chance
to shine as he has in the past, as Law continually made things difficult.
Tony won on points after two difficult opening rounds against the
much taller Gordon Law. However, he came through strongly in the end
and deserved the decision the points decision. |

Steve Arrowsmith
Isle of Man |
Nick
Baird of Saintfield clocked up his second victory in as many bouts
when he faced Steve Arrowsmith of the Isle of Man. The Natural Health
sponsored bout - saw the Prokick fighter put his opponent under constant
pressure right after a strong start from his opponent. Yet another
good looking prospect for the future as the Saintfield was just a
little to strong in the closing round - with the local man firmly
in control and take the bout . All credit to Steve Arrowsmith who
went ahead with the bout despite suffering problems with his wisdom
teeth, which may well have hindered his performance. |

Willie White

Another
Saintfield man - Brian Boyd is beginning to make a bit of a name for
himself as he beat former European Champion Willie White of Scotland
in only his third competitive bout, bringing his tally to three fights
three KO's. After two rounds of good action from both men, Boyd, put
White to the canvas with a big left hook to the body. The bell rang
for the start of round three and the Scotsman failed to leave his
corner much to the delight Brian and his Glentoran teammates who came
to support, all credit to White to stand in as Boyd's original opponent
didn't show and for giving weight away. |

took the points decision, over tough Cassi Lace. |

Craigavon
super heavyweight James Gillen is back on the winning track after
he beat tough Scotsman Greg Docherty at the Park Avenue Hotel on Sunday.
The local man has been waiting since February to get back in the competitive
ring and put his previous defeat by Norway's Thomas Rosvoll behind
him. Docherty showed great character and the bout went the distance.
The final bell rang and all three judges awarded Gillen the winner
on points decision.

Galway's
Edward Chiperi faced stern opposition in Scotland's Zandor Patterson
in an international prestige bout. The Galway man started strongly
in the first round with good punch combinations, but the experienced
Scot relaxed into the bout in the second and began to pick his shots
well with good kick and punch combinations, forcing a stoppage early
in the third round, however this was Chiperi's first bout and showed
good promise for the future. |

Robert Kincaid

McFaden

Winner |

Both Robert and Stevie kick at the same time.
First
timer 15 year old Robert Kincaid was up against Steve McFaden (Scotland).
Robert started very strongly with all guns firing and looked like
he was going for an early knock out. However, the skill of the Scot
began to show as Robert's pace fading slightly in the second round.
The two battled it out with non stop action to the final bell with
some lovely kicks from McFaden and fast hands from the Prokick fighter,
in the end the Scotsman snatched the close points decision.
