Paisley Town Hall, Scotland - 29th October '99
A
shock result from Paisley Town Hall as ISKA World Champion Trevor 'The
Chill' Ambrose lost his title to Scot and WAKO Champion Lex Easton. A
battery of heavy punches to the head brought Ambrose down in the 9th in
emphatic style. Easton looked in control throughout the match in front
of a 1500 strong crowd. It wasn't until the end of the 8th round that
Ambrose proved he could cut it, hurting the WAKO Champion, however Easton
wasn't to be deterred and came back strong flooring the 'Chill' at the
end of the round..
Ambrose
never had a chance to display his skill and talent that wowed fight fans
when he defeated Francis Farley for the ISKA Supermiddleweight Champion.
However a rematch looks likely and he won't be pulling the punches. New
World Champion Easton was jubilant after the match which saw him retain
his WAKO Professional World title.
ProKick's
own WKN European Champion, Gary Hamilton, had little trouble defeating
the more experienced Andy Milligan. The judge's unanimous decision came
after Hamilton displayed superior faster kicking skills though the bout
saw no knock downs or standing counts. Milligan fought with grit and determination
delivering some hard left hooks however Hamilton's ability shone through
and pleased the packed hall.
