Thai Boxing on Sky Sports 3
Gav The Man will be on Sky Sports 3 on Saturday 23rd December at 10pm and again at 4am on Sunday 24th December.

WMTO English Champion GAV THE MAN from Steve Logan's K-Star Thai Boxing Academy in Birmingham caused an major upset recently when he defeated the current WKN Bantamweight Champion Thevan Guru Nai du in a televised title fight.

Gav the man added the WKN British title to his growing collection in great style. Gav the Man showed great courage and determination after he was rocked in the first round by a powerfull uppercut from the versatile Guru Nai Du who is also a champion Kickboxer and Boxer.

Gav managed to weather the storm and slowly force his way back into the fight using low kicks and knees. The result was a well deserved points win and the WKN title to add to his WMTO English Thai Boxing title and IKF British Kickboxing title.

The match at the York Hall in Bethnall Green in London was promoted by Ali Jako and JKO Promotions and will be shown on Sky Sports 3.

The show will be split and made into 3 seperate TV shows they will be shown on 23rd December, 24th December and 26th December. Anyone that misses the fight on sky sports will be able to see Gav The Man in action at the Tower Ballroom in Birmingham on Sunday 25th March. Muay Thai in Hawaii
The Giraldi Muay-Thai Strike-Force will travel to Nanakuli, Hawaii and taking part in Hawaii Kickboxing Association Amateur tournament. This competition tournament brings together Hawaii's Top Kickboxer's in the State of Hawaii.

International fighters will compete on the night show that will be filmed for UK TV. the line up is to follow. This tournament is normally semi and light contact only, however the night show will host full contact kickboxing.

First Emirates Kickboxing Event

WMTO - InterClub Novice Event
Sunday 10th December
Inter-clubs are a great way for novice fighters to gain valuable ring experience. Our inter-clubs are fought over 3x1min rounds in a boxing ring. Fighters wear 16oz boxing gloves, shin pads, groin guard and gum shield, head guards are optional. ALL sparring is LIGHT CONTACT. Any fighter not obeying the light contact rule will be disqualified and will not receive a trophy.

New Kickboxing World Champion
Farm Hotel BOA LUZ in Aracaju, SE, Brazil, November 5th, 2000 - Kick Boxing in Full Contact rules

The main fight was the dispute of WKN world title in the super flyweight division (54,900 kg) between the Brazilian, South American champion Cledvaldo Barreto and the French, European champion Fabrice Rossi, in a sensational and very balanced fight with a perfect presentation of power, technique and determination, where the crowd saw 12 rounds of purest style Full Contact, in the end the Brazilian took the world title on all the judeges cards.

The other results were: Janisson Jesus(SE) defeated Francisco Bonifacio(SE) by points Jose Santos Lemos(SE) defeated Antonio Acassio Filho(SE) by points Title North/Northeast Edinelson Barbosa (BA) defeated Alfredo dos Santos (SE) by KO at 38 seconds of the 1st round. Psycho Kickboxer Goes Digital
Retired 4-Time World Kickboxing Champion Curtis"Explosive Thin Man"Bush has been chosen to play a Kickboxer in a new CD-Rom Game featuring the Worlds best Martial Artists. The Motion-Capture filming took place in California in late August. Bush held World Titles in 4 weight divisions and captured two USBA Boxing titles. He also starred in 'Psycho Kickboxer'. "Even though I am retired, anybody who wanted to kick my butt can do so in the privacy of their own home!". The game will be released Fall 2001.

K-Star Event
On 5Th November when Damien Trainor from Steve Logan’s K-Star Thai Boxing Academy in Birmingham, England will be fighting Thai legend Wang Chan Noi , World Champion and 4 times Lumpini Champion and will be Full Thai rules that allow Elbows and Knees to the face! The fight will take place in Wakefield, England. The next show at the Tower Ballroom will be on Sunday 26th November. www.wmto.org


UCC Challenge
History will be made on January 27th 2001 when a collection of the world's best fighters make the trip to the city of Sherbrooke, Quebec and enter the UCC's Ring of Fury. Contestants from Canada, USA, Brazil, Australia and Europe are all looking to make an impact in Canada's premiere fight promotion, the UNIVERSAL COMBAT CHALLENGE.
