K-Star wonder boy Damien Trainor
T
his week Damien Trainor added two more European titles to his already bulging tally of gold. At the Tower Ballroom in Edgbaston, Birmingham,on 25th March, Trainor met Belgian Chris Heynemann to battle it out for the WMTO and WKL European belts at 57.16kg. In what can only be described as a scorcher of a bout, Trainor finally managed to stop Heynemann in the fourth round, thus adding the WMTO and WKL titles to his name, making him now a triple European champion. It was by no means of the imagination an easy fight, with Trainor again breaking his hand in the fourth round. A recurrence of the injury he suffered against four times Lumpini champion Wang Chan Noi at the end of last year, who incidentally has also recently beaten Chris Heynemann.

Lots of current and former students and new neighbors stopped by to check it out!
