Chef Gary Hamilton served up a treat for fight fans France
Fight fans got a taste of Belfast’s latest World beater when he ripped the crown from former world featherweight champion Pastor Pascal of Lyon. The result was not what the French kickboxing audience expected as Belfast's own Kickboxing version of the pocket rocket ripped the world title away from France's number one kickboxing star. Hamilton done everything right on the night, as he demolished world champion, and fitness instructor in one minute 20 seconds of the forth round. The champion was sent face first to the canvas from a blistering punch and kick combination to body and head and with the final clubbing right hook which seen Hamilton crowned the new world champion. Referee Jean Carmel counted out Pastor Pascal to a silent and disbelieving crowd The New world Featherweight champion spoke just minutes after his momentous victory from the Lyon -den he said, I'm so happy, It hasn’t sunk in yet what I’ve just done here, this has been a long hard road to here and I intend to hold on to this title for a very long time to come.” UTV's Gary Gillespie and camera man Alan Mackey arrived ahead of the fight to bring back footage for Monday night sport.

13th June Tired of watching football well, here’s something different -
Kickboxing is going toe to toe with boxing and football for a share of the coveted television market and all the indications are that the sport is making progress. TV 3 in the Republic screened a full hour of April’s Kickboxing Mania V – with last weeks coverage attracting a lot of favourable comment when TV3’s viewers saw two world championship bouts for the first time - tonight viewsers both north & south will witness established stars from both sides of the boarder, when Gary Noade from Downpatrick comes face to face with hardened English man - Shaun James in a welterweight European title bout* . and team mate Gary Hamilton from Belfast attempt to win a WKN Intercontinental title crown to add to his Pro British title along with the Republic’s Craig O’Flynn from Cork challenging for a Muay Thai world title. Billy Murray from Prokick Belfast, who organised the program said he had been inundated with congratulatory emails all week and expressed amazement at the amount of reaction the screening had provoked. “It just proves how much interest there is in the sport,” he said.

Want to see live action – well you can at the forthcoming show on June 23, dubbed ‘Kickboxing: The next generation’, featuring Gary Noade’s rematch against Hugh White and a host of other exciting bouts. Tickets for the show, on Sunday afternoon, June 23 are available at Prokick Belfast on 90651074 or www.porkick.com, priced £7.50 for adults or £5.00 for children. Billy Murray
6th June Thanks for all your emails of support on last nights show that screened on TV3 an independent broadcaster in the Irish Republic. Yes, the show looked great, thanks to Ulster Television top man Mr Paul Clarke.

6th June Perfect end to a perfect nightWant to meet Westlife -
Basically all you need to do to meet Westlife is spend a fortune, go to every show and hope you get seen and brought up on stage, well that's if you're really lucky!
Prokickies -Tracey, Nicky and Emma oh yeah and the lucky one Jordan - were front row at the sell-out Westlife concert at Belfast's Odyssey Arena. Bryan ( from Westlife) caught sight of Jordan at the beginning of the concert and continued to smile and wave at her each time he came past where she was - During the medley of the Van Morrison's classic
The fab four- 'Brown Eyed Girl', Bryan waved at Jordan and walked straight over to the edge of the stage, jumped down to Jordan put his arms out and asked her "are you coming?" The rest is history see the photograph. After an unforgettable hug Jordan was returned to an extremely happy mum Tracey (no jealous) and two equally jealous friends , Nicky and Emma. Only joking, Not! all four when home really happy...but we think Jordan came out on tops, well done girls.
5th June KICKBOXING TO HIT OUR TV SCREENS AT HOME
Fed-up with fottball? Then television viewers north and south of the border will soon be able to witness the very best in hard-hitting kickboxing action after an up-and-coming television company in the Republic agreed to screen the flagship event of the sport's year at the Waterfront Hall, Belfast. TV3, the independent broadcaster in the Irish Republic will show all five title and a number of prestige bouts from last month's Kickboxing Mania V over two one-hour episodes. Competitors from Thailand, Belarus, Norway, Turkey, Belgium, England, Scotland, Ireland North & South all come face-face in the event, which will be shown on June 6 and June 13. Matthew Salway, Director of Programming for TV3, said: "We are delighted to have the opportunity to bring World Kickboxing to TV3's audience. The popularity of this exciting sport is growing worldwide and we have no doubt that after broadcasting the event from Belfast the interest in Ireland will continue to expand". Show promoter and trainer , Billy Murray, said the coverage represented a "significant step forward" in the development of the sport of kickboxing and said he believed television could only benefit from the association. "Kickboxing is exciting to watch , it is competitive and it is great entertainment. There is a massive audience out there, which many broadcasters are cottoning on to," he said. "The profile of kickboxing is rising all the time and the sport can only flourish in the future. I thank TV3 for their commitment and am confident we can work in partnership for the good of kickboxing throughout Ireland, north and south."
